• World Book Day

  A huge thank you to Mrs Watkins for organising another brilliant World Book Day.  Children were invited to come into school in pyjamas or onesies to celebrate our "Snuggle up and Read" theme.

   

  We were very lucky to have an actor from The Drama Hut come in all morning to give the children storytelling workshops on fairytales. It included some writing, lots of drama, lots of storytelling and lots of fun! A huge thank you to the P&F for funding this exciting morning for the children.

   

  There was also a "Get caught reading!" competition and we received some fantastic entries, including reading up trees and even in a washing machine! Thank you for your support in this competition.

• World Religion Day

  To celebrate World Religion Day the children took part in a morning of exciting activities. Groups of children from all classes worked together to learn about several world religions including Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Sikhism, Hinduism and Buddhism.

   

  They thoroughly enjoyed watching film clips, exploring artefacts and talking with special visitors. We found out that although there are differences between religions, there are many similarities and that all religions teach us to love one and another, and to treat everyone with kindness and respect whatever their religious views.

   

  Thank you to Rector Jonny and Fahad (Isak's Dad) for coming in to support the morning.

• Reception gymnastics festival at HGJS

  Our Reception class travelled to Holmer Green junior school for an inter-school gymnastics festival.  They took part in a number of gymnastics based activities, which worked on ther gross motor skills, balance and flexibitlity.
