Equality Objectives 2023-2024

Coleshill School is committed to ensuring equality of education and opportunity for all  pupils, staff, parents and carers, irrespective of race, gender, disability, belief, religion or socio economic background throughout our school in line with our Christian vision and values.

The headteacher and governors at Coleshill School regularly review the progress that we are making to meet our equality objectives under the Equality Act 2010.

Equality Objectives

In order to support pupils, raise standards and ensure inclusive teaching and learning we have set ourselves the following objectives:

Objective 1:  To continue to monitor and analyse pupil achievement by race, gender, disability and act upon trends or patterns in this data that require additional support for pupils

Objective 2: To continue to raise levels of attainment in core subjects for vulnerable learners

Objective 3: To review levels of parental and pupil engagement in learning and school life, across all activities to ensure equity and fairness in access and engagement

Objective 4: Continue to monitor attendance to ensure that all pupils have the equal opportunity to access the curriculum

Objective 5: Ensure that the school environment is as accessible as possible to all pupils, staff and visitors

These objectives work alongside the School Access Plan and the School Development Plan.
