Year 1 Multiskills festival November - the Year 1 and Year 2 children enjoyed a variety of physical activities which used hand-eye coordination, balance and gross motor skills.
Year 1 and Year 2 Gymnastics festival January - the Year 1 and 2 children visited Holmer Green Junior School for a gymnastics festival, they enjoyed a variety of gymnastics activities which used balance, core strength and gross motor skills.
World Book Day
Today we learned all about Diwali! We found out why Diwali is celebrated, how Hindus celebrate Diwali, learned about the story of Rama and Sita and had a go making our own Diva lamp to take home.
Today we went to the Amersham School to take part in a Boogie Bounce festival. We learned how to do lots of different bounces, performed different routines to songs and made up our own routines in groups. It was great fun!
In Year 2, we have created weaving inspired by the colours of the American flag. We designed a pattern using red, white and blue and then followed our plan to create our own weaving!
This playtime, we enjoyed playing on our lovely new play equipment!
We all had great fun participating in a multi-skills festival at Dr Challoners. We were able to learn lots of different skills and had opportunities to practise and improve.
As part of our Buildings topic, we went to the Chiltern Open Air Museum. We were able to learn about different types of buildings and how homes were different in the past. We even had a go making our own bricks!
