• Shining Stars of the Week - w/c 6th March

  Congratulations to Spencer, Oliver and Alisa, who are our Shining Stars of the Week.  They have all been recognised for demonstrating our golden values last week.

  

• World Book Day celebrations

  Thank you so much for all the wonderful costumes for the costume parade this morning, it was lovely to see the children dressed up as their favourite book character for the day .

   

  Children’s Author

  Richard Dikstra who wrote “The Adventures of Captain Bobo” series for children aged 4+ which is now a radio series on Fun Kids as well came in to do a reading of his first Captain Bobo book (Bananas!), he also chatted  about how he became an author and took questions from the children. 

   

  Richard also had the very difficult job of judging the potato character competition - congratulations to the winners, who were all awarded a book.

   

  The children were all given a £1 book token to put towards a book of their choice and we had a big book swap at the end of the day.

   

  

• World Book Day Potato Character Competition

  Thank you to all of the children who created potato characters for our World Book Day competition.  There were some absolutely fabulous entries and we really appreciate all of the effort that went into making them.

   

  Richard Dikstra, our visiting author had the very difficult job of judging the competition and picked 2 winners from each class.

   

  Congratulations to Beatrix and Charlie in Reception, Quinn and Oliver in Year 1 and Noah and Stella in Year 2!

  

• Holi workshop with KZ Dance

  The children all had a fabulous time at the Holi workshop with KZ dance.  They learned some Bollywood dances and had the opportunity to celebrate Holi, the festival of colours, in the playground with powder paints.

   

  The parents joined us for a dance performance and for the Holi celebration and everyone went home a little more colourful than before!

• Forest School with our new leader Bizi

  Our new Forest School leader, Bizi Boyd-Hall started with us today and we had a brilliant first session.  We look forward to working with Bizi in our dedicated Forest School area!
