School Council
Welcome to our School Council
What is School Council?
At Coleshill, we respect and value the opinions of our pupils and the School Council gives pupils a forum to share these opinions with members of staff and have their voices heard.
Our school council sessions give pupils the opportunity to participate in discussions about improvements we can make to our school and garden, charity and fundraising, school events and about how we can make our school the best possible place for everyone in our school community.
School Council Class Representatives
Each class democratically elects two class representatives to attend meetings with Miss Keep and put forward thoughts and ideas on their behalf.
Our first school council session of the 2025-2026 academic year started by reintroducing school council. We then held elections to democratically elect our school council class representatives.
Our new school council class reps are:
Reception: Darci and Lily
Year 1:
Year 2: Austin and Orla

November 2025 Update: Children in Need
In preparation for Children in Need, our school council discussed ways in which we could celebrate it. The children put forward lots of ideas including having pizza for lunch, colouring, having a pudsey workshop and a bouncy castle to name but a few! Some of the ideas we took in order to celebrate the day were pudsey colouring, bring in a bear from home, wear mufti day and a pudsey treat. Thank you to Mrs Mellor for baking a delicious bear shaped biscuit for everyone in the school. We had a lovely day raising money for a great cause.
